I think it's a tragedy that the only member of the Pickles family on Rugrats with a punny name was the baby that wasn't introduced until way late in the show's life (Dill Pickles.) There are a lot of punny names they could've gone with. Here's a few that I thought of:
- Branston Pickles
- Kim C. Pickles
- Vinny Pickles (i.e. short for "vinegar")
- Brian Pickles (sounds a bit like "brine")
- Gherkin Pickles (funny cartoon name. Maybe for a distant family member who only makes occasional appearances. Weird uncle Gherkin)
Ok, that's all I got. But that's five. That's five times as many as the one obvious pun name that actually appeared in the show. Unless they introduced more after I stopped watching. Whenever Dill was introduced was the cut-off point for me. Any time a new baby is permanently introduced to the cast, that's when you know the show's run its course, and that goes double for a show already about babies. 🦝
